Never doubt the power of a good eggplant. “In Search of Israeli Cuisine” is one of 30 films in the Jewish Community Center of Metropolitan Detroit’s Annual Lenore Marwil Jewish Film Festival, May 8-19.
Truly it is amazing how such a simple food as matzah – the “bread of affliction” – holds such a rich and enduring message about the journey of the Jewish people.
