It’s going to be the Greatest Show of appreciation for the Greatest Generation.
The 23nd annual Bessie Spector (Z”L) Oldest Jewish Americans Celebration will shine a spotlight on our Jewish community members aged 95 and over on Friday, June 21, 2023, at Adat Shalom Synagogue. The event, hosted by Jewish Senior Life, gives this special group the recognition they deserve for helping to build our wonderful metro Detroit Jewish community.
The theme this year is Under The Big Top and will feature a fun and exciting circus atmosphere, with a festive brunch, entertainment, recognition of our older adults and a gift bag for each honoree. The event is free to honorees and one guest each — with extra tickets available for purchase.
Register your honorees!
Register honorees online here. All honorees aged 95 and older (by 12/31/2024) will be invited to the celebration, with invitations mailed in May 2024.
This special event is generously sponsored by the family of Bessie Spector and other community supporters. It is presented through a partnership with Jewish Senior Life, Jewish Family Service, The J -Detroit, the Jewish Federation of Detroit and Gesher Human Services.
