Gilda Jacobs

Listen to "The Politics of Helping Others"

The first thing you will notice about Gilda Jacobs is that she is a woman of firsts. First woman elected to the Huntington Woods City Council, first female caucus floor member in Lansing and first and foremost, someone who cares deeply about serving her community and giving back. You’ll hear how being active in her synagogue youth group helped fuel her social justice passion, how patience is the key to getting things done in a partisan world, and how breaking the glass ceiling and infiltrating the Old Boys Network were part of her purpose to help empower women.
