Latke Vodka 9

From “attendees” to participants. From members to volunteers. From advocates to  ambassadors. From fundraisers to leaders . . . the strength of Jewish Detroit has always been a torch to pass on to the next generation.

Back in the day, circa 1940

It was Federation’s “Junior Division” where a young Mandell (Bill) Berman first stepped forward to support the efforts of Federation’s Annual Campaign.

Breaking records

And dancing to them too. Through the years, Federation’s Junior Division grew into YAD, the Young Adult Division.

Remember the 70s? Saturday Night Fever, disco dancing and a young Federation stepping forward.

NEXTGen Detroit

More than a “Division” of Federation’s Campaign efforts, Federation’s NEXTGen Detroit is now a movement fully dedicated to young Jewish Detroiters with the mission to attract, connect and engage peers, to grow in numbers and to lead the work of the Jewish community to build a greater Detroit for generations to come.
