Jewish Detroiter and quintessential communal professional, David Kurzmann returned to Detroit in 2015 to join the Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) as its Executive Director after nearly a decade of service to the Chicago Jewish community. With credentials proven to be impeccable for the job, David, 31, is the youngest in Federation’s agency network of top executives. His homecoming marks an exciting new path forward for the agency, now working in partnership with the American Jewish Committee – as JCRC/AJC – to better serve as the voice and leading public affairs representative of our Jewish community on both the local and global stages.
On June 19, 2016, the Tamarack legacy will come to life in the Clara and Irvin Charach Tamarack Museum located on Tamarack campgrounds, inside the main building of the Smoklerville Pioneer Village.
