Photo Gallery. Detroit Solidarity Mission to Israel

This past December, a delegation of community leaders took part in a Jewish Federation of Detroit solidarity mission to Israel, the first of several trips that will continue in the months ahead. They went to bear witness to the devastation of the Hamas assault of Oct. 7, to learn about its ongoing impact on the people of Israel and their resolve to ensure that this never happens again. They also went to express Detroit’s unwavering love and commitment to our family in Israel. 

What they encountered was heartbreaking, shocking and often difficult to process. But there was also hope, resiliency and a proud determination that as Jews we have faced adversity time and time again and have always come out stronger.
